Dr. Hunter Gray earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the University of Western States after completing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. His journey into chiropractic care began during his time as a decathlete on the UMass track and field team, where he experienced firsthand the benefits of chiropractic treatment for various sports injuries. This personal experience ignited his passion for performance, recovery, and rehabilitation, laying a strong foundation for his future career in chiropractic care.

Before beginning his chiropractic education, Hunter gained valuable practical experience in strength and conditioning through internships at UMass Amherst and Mike Boyle’s Strength and Conditioning facility. These opportunities allowed him to hone his understanding of athletic performance and injury prevention, further deepening his commitment to helping athletes and active individuals achieve their best.

While pursuing his chiropractic studies, Hunter sought to expand his skill set and clinical expertise. He became certified in Active Release Technique (ART), a specialized soft tissue therapy designed to address muscle and joint dysfunction. Additionally, he participated in various seminars offered by the Motion Palpation Institute, where he learned advanced techniques for assessing and treating musculoskeletal conditions.

Hunter’s approach to patient care is fundamentally movement-driven. He recognizes that movement is not just a physical activity but a vital aspect of daily life and overall well-being. By focusing on enhancing patient functionality through improved movement patterns, he aims to empower individuals to lead healthier, more active lives. His treatment philosophy emphasizes not just symptom relief but also long-term wellness and performance optimization.

Outside of work, Hunter stays active with a variety of pursuits that keep him fit. You might find him on the golf course enjoying a round with friends or family. He also makes time for his fitness routine, whether it’s hitting the gym or going for a run. This blend of personal activity and professional focus informs his approach to chiropractic care, allowing him to support his patients in their own health journeys.

From a young age I experienced the benefits of massage through the hands of my abuela. A student of dance and movement, my ankles were constantly twisting. Though the massages were painful, the immediate relief led to regaining mobility. Finding that it was best to educate myself about hypermobility through physical therapy and similar self-care modalities. Leading me to study Muscular therapy in Cambridge,MA, for their strong orthopedic, and sports massage program.

Throughout my 25 year career, I have expanded my practice to include, prenatal massage, neuromuscular massage, and Thai bodywork. With certificates in Ayurveda, yoga, herbalism, nutrition, and postpartum care.
